Tearoom Manager

Our heritage tearoom is also unique. A 1930’s house originally built in Palmyra has been transported to Mandurah, beautifully renovated & delightfully decorated to retain the charm of early 1900’s.

We require a mature person, as contrary to a lot of businesses, we believe that as people age they mature like a good wine. Substantial experience in the hospitality/tourism industry is essential.

We try to present to our customers the experience of a traditional tearoom. Old fashioned service, efficient & friendly. Tea served in a pot, with a jug of milk & fine bone china teacups, home baked scones, cakes etc. All of the meals are pre-prepared so no cooking is required.

You will need to be available alternate weekends plus school holidays. Substantial flexibility exists to suit your working requirements, with an average of 25- 30 hours per week. You will assume the management role in all areas during the owner’s absence.

The environment in which you will work is extremely pleasant & satisfying with easygoing, friendly staff, customers & owners who are appreciative of your efforts.

As you would expect, a generous salary package, including bonus’s, will be available to the person who can demonstrate

Trainee Gardener / Horticulturalist

Are you are looking for a career in horticulture, then Abingdon Miniature Village is the best place for you to start. If you are young, enthusiastic & hardworking with  a desire to succeed, then we have an immediate position available.

We will provide you with on-site training & assist you to obtain a Certificate in Horticulture, preferably followed by a diploma or degree course.

 

What you will need is a desire to work & learn, own transport to & from work, a very high standard of ethics, reliability & trust.  If you are looking for just a job, then this is NOT the place for you, as we will expect & help you to develop a true sense of ownership.

 

Since opening 6 years ago, we have won many awards for our gardens & have established an enviable reputation for return visits & referrals. Your contribution will help us continue & expaand this part of our business.
